Song of the Oceans

A lovely start to 2020! Jillian was back up in Aberdeen to sing for HRH The Duchess of Rothesay and HRH The Princess Royal at an honorary graduation ceremony.

She premiered Professor Paul Mealor’s Song of the Oceans with the newly formed Science Sings Choir, and will be performing the piece again later this year for Sir David Attenborough.

The song was commissioned by The United Nations and is part of a fascinating project combining art, science and law- aimed at raising awareness of negotiations on conservation and sustainable use of marine biodiversity in areas beyond national jurisdiction. More information about this project can be found here.

New Skin, Old Ceremonies

Work is well underway installing the pieces for this group exhibition at St Mary’s Works, Norwich. Jillian is one of 13 artists displaying work in this show, which runs 4th-17th November.

Cranes ready for installation!
