The next few months are going to be very busy ones, culminating in two special events in June as part of Jillian’s final MFA extended project.
Jillian is pleased to announce that the first performance of her electroacoustic composition Strandarkirkja will take place on Thursday, June 5th at 1pm in the atmospheric surroundings of St Alfege Church, Greenwich Church St, London SE10 9BJ.
More information about the work can be found here.
Keeping with the Nordic theme, the second event shall be taking place on Monday, June 16th in the Peacock Room at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, King Charles Court, ORNC, London SE10 9JF.
As well as featuring Scandinavian song by composers including Grieg, Sibelius and Kuula, Jillian will also be displaying a series of artworks inspired by Nordic landscape and music. More details to follow, but meanwhile here are some pictures of a new mixed media piece depicting the church in Iceland that inspired the electroacoustic composition.
